Alan & Diane Fluckiger are the parents of eight children who have experienced a combination of public, private, home schooling, and also the LDS academy they founded 16 years ago in southern Idaho. The first five have graduated and are going on to college, missions, marriage, and families of their own. They are still home schooling the last three and created Ensign Education to help the next generation.

Alan & Diane led a group of home schooling parents who founded American Heritage Academy, a non-profit LDS academy in the town of Burley in southern Idaho, 16 years ago.  The experience gained during those years in teaching, curriculum selection and development, teacher selection, support and training, and parent support, is all being combined in Ensign Education.  American Heritage Academy has engaged Ensign Education to create and distribute via the Internet a premier educational opportunity to home schooling families worldwide that will build upon that foundation.
