Home About Us Accreditation
Accreditation
At present, Ensign Education and American Heritage Academy are not accredited by the state of Idaho or any other public school-accrediting agency, however we expect the accreditation process to be completed later this year.  Our graduates have successfully entered the colleges and universities of their choice, received scholarships or other forms of financial aid, and entered technical programs or the work force.  Lack of accreditation may be a problem for students who desire to transfer credits taken through Ensign Education to public schools since most public schools do not evaluate and apply credit for course work from home schools or private schools.  To meet the expectations and standards of the parents of our students, academic requirements for graduation from American Heritage or through Ensign Education exceed those of public schools.  Students desiring a diploma may apply Ensign Education credits toward the American Heritage Academy graduation requirements and use the American Heritage diploma and transcript to apply for scholarships and jobs.  Students apply for college with a transcript, GED, ACT, or Sat scores, depending on the requirements of the school they wish to attend.
