6th Grade Language ArtsCredits: 0Sessions per Week: 4 sessions of ½ hour each Tuition: $60 Course Description: In small groups this class expands exposure to literature and reading through reading aloud, reading comprehension drills, vocabulary and dictionary skills, penmanship by creative writing and word exercises, spelling and poetry by weekly word lists of prefixes, suffixes and root words, poetry memorization. In the writing process, comparison, contrast, outlines, library research, narration and journaling. In grammar, sentence parts, fragments, run-ons, punctuation and capitalization, using all eight parts of speech. |
