General Science
Prerequisites: None Required Text: Apologia Exploring Creation with General Science Credits: 0 Sessions per Week: 2 Tuition: $60 Course Description: This course is designed to be a student’s first systematic introduction to the sciences. Although it can be used for eighth grade (especially if the student has recently left the public schools), it is typically used best in the seventh grade. The course covers such topics as the scientific method, designing experiments, simple machines, archaeology, geology, paleontology, biology, and human anatomy and physiology. Its scope, therefore, is quite wide. There are many hands-on experiments to do, and they all use household items.

Physical Science
Prerequisites: Saxon Math 8/7 Required Text: Apologia Exploring Creation with Physical Science Credits: 1 Sessions per Week: 2 Tuition: $60 Course Description: This course is designed to be the last science course the student takes before high school biology. Thus, we generally recommend it as an 8th grade course. However, if your student was recently in public school, he or she might need to wait until 9th grade to use it. The course discusses such topics as the atmosphere, the hydrosphere, weather, the structure of the earth, environmentalism, the physics of motion, Newton’s Laws, gravity, and astrophysics. The author especially concentrates on the myths generated by the hysterical environmentalist movement. There are many hands-on experiments to do, and they all use household chemicals and supplies. It is an excellent course for preparing the student to take a college-prep high school science curriculum.

Biology
Prerequisites: None Required Text: Apologia Exploring Creation with Biology Credits: 1 Sessions per Week: 2 Tuition: $60 Course Description: This course is a thorough study of biology that will prepare students for college level biology or AP and CLEP exams. It includes an examination of organisms from each kingdom, cells, DNA and genetics, refutes the fallacies of evolution, and much more. |
Chemistry
Prerequisites: Saxon Algebra ½ Required Text: Apologia Exploring Creation with Chemistry Credits: 1 Sessions per Week: 3 Tuition: $90 Course Outline: This course is an excellent preparation for college chemistry. It is a rigorous and thorough introduction to all of the major elements of a college chemistry course. A solid grasp of the mathematical prerequisites will greatly enhance a student’s prospects for success. |
Physics
