Survey of World History 4000 B.C. to 1492 A.D.Prerequisites: None Required Text: None Credits: 0 Sessions per Week: 2 Tuition: $275 per semester Course Description: This Jr. High level history course is organized around the first ten key dates of world history: 4000 BC, 2344 BC, 2000 BC, 1500 BC, 1000 BC, 600 BC, 331 BC, 30 AD, 300 AD, and 1200 AD. Students memorize the dates, major events and significant personalities in each key date and begin to examine the significant issues and lessons that can be drawn from the past to our day. Students choose a single event or personality from each date to be the subject of further research and write a report to summarize their findings. Daily quizzes make up the balance of the grade computation. |
