Registration Procedures
Students complete a registration form and pay a registration fee each year. Classes that start mid-year can be registered for at the start of the spring semester, but no additional registration fee is required for continuing students. Registration can be accomplished through the Ensign Education website or by mail, fax or email. Students enrolling in recorded Internet classes register anytime before beginning classes, and may continue to add classes for a full year before another registration fee is required. When registration is completed a user account is created for each student that allows students and parents to access course information, grades and account status through the EnsignEd website.
Registration Fee
The registration fee must be paid before a registration becomes effective and courses begun. The registration fee for the 2010-2011 school year is $49 per student if paid by the early registration deadline, which is July 4th. After that date the registration fee is $59. Registration fees are non-refundable unless all classes you registered for are cancelled.
Calendar
The Ensign Education academic year consists of two semesters of 14 weeks each plus summer classes that are scheduled each year according to teacher availability and student demand. Classes are held on Tuesday through Friday each week. Fall semester classes begin on the first Tuesday of September (9/7/10) and continue through the third week of December (12/17/10), with a break for the week of Thanksgiving. Spring Semester Classes begin the second Tuesday of January (1/11/11) and continue through the third week of April (4/22/11), with a spring break the third week of March.
Class Schedules
Tentative class schedules are currently posted here. Registration by the early registration deadline will help assure that students receive their preferred classes. Classes that do not meet enrollment minimums may be cancelled. You will be notified of schedule changes for your classes before August 15th when the first tuition payment is due.
